Good Luck Harold!

Post by Torbinator »

I happened to be fortunate enough to have you issue my clearance to land and taxi back to the ramp on your last night controlling for PE. I just wanted to wish you the best on your pursuit as a controller with the FAA. I've been on PE for less then a year, but the skill and professionalism you exhibited on the PE network was quickly apparent. No doubt it will carry you on throughout your career!

Best of luck sir.

Wow, thank you! I was selected for the center option (vs. tower/approach), so I will be training at the FAA academy for about 4 months starting next week. There will be another long stretch of classroom and lab training at my first center, which will not be determined until the last week of the academy. I'll keep you all posted on this new journey, and I hope to be able to talk to some of you on a real frequency someday.

In the meantime you'll probably hear me flying around a bit on here. I'm going to need some way to handle the flying withdrawals; I think I'm in the right place.

I've never had a good name to voice map in my head for PE controllers, but certainly recognize the name. Thanks for all of the good times on PE and good luck on the "real" scopes!

Would you be allowed to come back and hop on for events? Is it against the regulations?
