Leaving Las Vegas

Post by rtataryn »

On a flight today with Southwest Airlines out of KLAS. Runway 19L. Backed up on taxiway Delta all the way to Sierra - #14 for takeoff. But I didn't mind. I had a left window seat to enjoy the view of all the departures.

I was thinking to myself how crazy it would be to be sitting in this Conga line in my SR22 and it reminded me of Keith's Real World VFR series when he was in the lineup in his 172 at KBOS smelling the JetA. I've gotta think that would have been pretty intimidating with all these big irons staring down and wondering "what the hell are you doing here?" :-)

We flew out on the TRALR6.MLF departure. The scenery was almost as good as Josh Gibbs' sim. :-)

First, thanks for taking the time to put fixes with photos.

You're right, Josh would have to upgrade to 'god storage' to match this, but his setup is pretty close, clouds and all. I wonder what this would look like in P3D?
