If filing a flight plan in general aviation do I want /G? I have gps, transponder mode c, and I don't think RVSM. I'm mostly fling the Baron BE58.

Re: Flight Plan Question
GPS, HSI, DME, NAV radio I believe. I'm a noob!
I should have just filed /A because I flew a tec route and I used VOR almost the whole way anyway.

Re: Flight Plan Question
/G if you want to represent that you have RNAV capability. Otherwise, /A if you have VOR/DME. Otherwise, /U if VOR with no DME.
You're welcome to use VORs along the route where applicable even if you file /G. Your filing code represents maximum capability, it doesn't have to reflect your intent.

Re: Flight Plan Question
Pick the highest one you have:
/L RVSM capable with GPS
/Z RVSM capable with RNAV
/W RVSM capable with DME
/G GPS
/I RNAV
/P TACAN
/A DME
/U NO DME
Those are all the codes that are valid in our PE world.
