Beta 1 came out yesterday and was full of bugs. Several of which got fixed (missing taxiway lines, new autogen scenery not working, several crashes)
Beta 2 was released today. Significant improvement but the aircraft lighting is broken (I didn't fly Beta 1 at night so I can't say whether it had the same issue). Nav lights stay on all the time regardless of switch position (yes, even if the battery is off they remain on). Beacon, strobes and landing lights don't come on at all.
For those that use Real Terra Haze, it has an issue as well but there is an easy fix posted for it in the x-plane.org forums.
Overall though, I must say, it looks GOOD!

Re: 10.50 Beta 2
Thanks for the heads up. Was reading about it (Beta 1) and chickened out.
I don't mind the lights issue as long as cockpit lighting works for now...
I'm really interested in whatever optimizations there are for autogen.
Also... something that seems to plague X-Plane is that planes weathervane while just sitting there, though the parking brake helps. I've also been having strange ground handling physics ("bouncy" taxiing, over/understeer in craft with differential braking steering, and "stickiness" when taxiing at low speeds.)
Have you experienced any of those?
thx
Andrew

Shawn,
Ben doesn't seem to be aware of the RTH issue, you may want to report that:

Re: 10.50 Beta 2
There isn't anything wrong with X-Plane here. A couple of datarefs had been renamed. The plugin will have to be updated. It's a simple matter of renaming 3 lines of code in it. Or grab the patched version that someone already posted on x-plane.org.Kyle.Sanders wrote:Shawn,

Re: 10.50 Beta 2
Beta 3 and beta 4 were released yesterday. Beta 3 was around for all of an hour before it was pulled and rolled back to beta 2. CTD for everyone with 3.
Beta 4 came out last night. After 4 hours of flying it, I haven't found anything broken. We might have a winner here.
The thing I mentioned above with RTH still exists. Easy fix posted in the .org forums until the RTH scripts are updated. It's just a simple matter of renaming the datarefs in the RTH script because there have a different name in 10.50.
