Hello friends,
I found this Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RPUNzrWb2w and was interested because I have done a lot of my virtual flying at KSNA.
Though at the very beginning in the VFR clearance, the pilot is asking for an "Orange" departure. I have no idea what is that departure and then ATC mention the TS220 which is as confusing to me. Does anybody can explain to me what they are and where can I find published information about them?
I guess they are heading to exit the C but where are those information?
Also at 1:36 in the video, Ground mention "Dove Street" what is it?
Thank you for the help.
KSNA Orange departure
Re: KSNA Orange departure
Hi, several common VFR departure routes, including the "Orange" one (heading 330) are published on the airport's official webpage: http://www.ocair.com/generalaviation/pilotinformation Also the detailed ground chart there depicts "Dove Gate" on the south GA apron somewhere in the middle between Atlantic and Signature: http://www.ocair.com/generalaviation/airfieldmap. I guess Dove Street is the street right behind the fence there.
I don't think any of this information is officially published though, more like local knowledge for the convenience of local regular GA fliers and ATC. Hence probably not something that ATC would use in phraseology, unless the pilot verbalizes it first
