I was taxiing at John Wayne as I began my I3 rating, a TEC route to Burbank as
N524BL. Another pilot radios into the controller asking for VFR flight following as
N4BL. The best part is when the controller asks him where he is wanting to fly to, he responds BOB HOPE!

I just start laughing and kinda freaking out that I'm going to mess up radio communications now during my rating. The controller takes a minute obviously just as shocked as I was and responds, "Be aware N4BL, there is an aircraft with a similar callsign N524BL." The rating goes great though, with a pass!
I turn off RNW8 at Burbank and controller says, "I thought you were the same person."
Hopefully I will get to fly again at the same time as N4BL whoever you are.
