Western Expansion Drones?
Western Expansion Drones?
Just wondering: Have the skies over the Western US been filled with drones as in ZLA?

Re: Western Expansion Drones?
No. Most of the traffic in the Western US Expansion area is jet and turboprop traffic in the flight levels, so drones wouldn't make much sense. We're still thinking about what to do, if anything.
It's also a huge task to fill the area with the same density that we have in ZLA. It would have to be > 1000 additional aircraft.

Can't you fit them in after your 15 hr shifts on the scopes??
Seriously though this expansion is great.
I flew KPHX to KABQ today in Citation and it was one of my best flight sim experiences ever (in 20 years).
Thanks guys.

Re: Western Expansion Drones?
One can only hope that this continues to scale up...
There is a limited available user base therefore a limited business model to support continued growth but we can only hope the field of dreams concept of "build it and they will come" works in this case.
For now we have a serious amount of variety to suit any training need...along with supporting the entertainment of the sim world.

I must say I am very impressed by the workload the atc on pilotedge is doing and wants to thank all atc for being patience with me while I sometimes do a few minor mistakes. You guys are truly doing a excellent work. That being said for drones. What about adding some drones at or around the new airports? Not many but just a few so you don't feel alone sometimes. Departing and landing drones at airports close to the primary airports?
