Off the VOR-A approach into Brown Mun. (KSDM), I mistook Rodriguez Int'l for Brown, and sailed past the KSDM rwy 26R extended runway line. Well, Rodriquez is much better lit.
Thanks I believe to Alex, for the head's up. Not that hard to do , if /A and unfamiliar with the area!

I landed just before you at Brown tonight - I was maybe five minutes in front of you on the VOR-A on the way in and had taxied to parking after a particularly ungraceful crosswind landing, and I was able to watch you come in. As I looked at the nav lights in the distance, I thought, "no, maybe that's not him, because that plane's still heading south" ... and then I heard tower and you sort it out See you in the skies again sometime soon!
We sure do get spoiled by technology. With some sort of GPS (or other RNav) equipment on board, you just set Brown as your waypoint, and use the MFD to display the OBS along the runway, you can't miss it. From "safe taxi", to enroute moving maps, and GPS approaches, it is a different world these days.
I am really quite enjoying, forcing myself to get back to basics. Only clue I had was that the DME was getting a bit high, then Alex intoned.
I am honored to have joined the rest of the border hopping crew!
