VFR flight following and bizarre filed route in PEAware?

In looking at my stats on PEAware I noticed that for a flight I took where I requested flight following, the "filed route" shows up in PEAware as direct to a VOR over 1,000 miles away:

Is this just a result of ATC entering something for flight following so the aircraft is in the system?

Yes it thinks that FF(Flight Following - Put in there by ATC), is HAMRE LOM on this approach.
