We're finally ready to get back to the regular event schedule and are kicking things off with a combined GA and heavier metal event, the September Slam!

Are you one of the many newcomers to PilotEdge and you're clamoring for some traffic? So are we!

Fly SBA to SNA (John Wayne) for the pistons or SBA to SAN (San Diego) for the bigger metal. If you're a turboprop, pick either destination, we'd love to have you.

If you'd rather go VFR, no problem!. In fact, if you'd rather keep it simple and just do some laps of the pattern at a busy airport, show up at SBA and enjoy!

The action starts at 1pm at SBA. Bring on the planes!

Routes
SBA - SNA (props): KWANG CMA VNY V186 BAYJY V363 POXKU V8 SLI at 5,000
SBA - SNA (turboprops): KWANG VTU V208 SXC SLI at 9,000

SBA - SAN (turboprops): KWANG VTU V208 SXC V208 LAX118 CARDI MZB320 MZB SAN at 9,000.
SBA - SAN (turboprops): KWANG VTU V208 SXC V208 LAX118 CARDI MZB320 MZB SAN at 11,000.

My first PE slam after a happy return. I will be there unless real life does not agree... Cheers, AJ ;)

Flying the real plane at 4pm should have plenty of time to do this before I head out to the airport.

I'll probably live stream the event as well.

I just reactivated, and hope to join in this as well :) I've got to read up on the airports and brush up on my radios. This is my first time since starting training that I haven't flown for 3 months! (I might end up flying a KSEE-KSNA-KSEE if thats ok.)

Colin, if your goal is to see a lot of traffic, you'd stand a better chance if you depart from SBA...that's what events are all about. Partial attendance at SNA is better than not flying at all, though, so do what you need to do :) And, welcome back!

Thanks! That's going to be my goal. I'll make it easy on myself and use the Garmin. It's supposed to be fun anyways :)
