So I decided to give my aviation headset a go with the usb adapter I have for it. Currently I have 3 headsets that I have gotten over the years, plus my one that I only use for FSX (Logitech USB). Anyways, I used my David Clark H10-34 on Vatsim a few nights ago for a few flights, 5 by 5 with the controllers. Tonight I tried my new Telex Airman 750, its a very lightweight ANR headset that I just purchased from a friend brand new. The problem is, no voice whatsoever. I can hear fine, but according to the controller, the voice is unreadable and trying it on vatsim said it sounded like a fire alarm......not good! Lastly I tried my Bose QC3 which I use for rw flying and it worked just "okay." I would say a 3 by 5. Almost sounds like the mic is right up on my mouth, which it isn't, and a little faint ringing in the background. So basically I wanna get my Telex working like my Logitech, anyone have similar problems? Maybe an adapter issue? Possibly not compatible?
Much appreciated,
Chris Allegro

Re: New Headset Problems
Before you try it on an online network, try doing local recordings with it. Run the Windows Sound Recorder, capture some audio then play it back through the speakers to see how it sounds. You can then adjust the audio levels accordingly.
Re: New Headset Problems
Thanks Keith for the reply. Downloaded the Windows Audio Recoreder.....seems to be a problem with the adapter....so I'm guessing, very unreadable.

Hi,
Does your Telex have a non-stereo setting? I have a Bose A20. It has rocker switches for use with non-stereo intercoms in the control/battery case. That might be worth a shot. However, I'm no expert.
