What! You want me to share my beloved Los Angeles. I could count on my fingers the number of times I have seen another plane at Los Angeles, let alone get within a bull's roar of them. I dream of taxiing out to 25R with 10, mostly 744s, in front of me, and 10 behind me, and the controllers working hard to stop the nuts from running into us, just like real world. The only time I get to experience that in the sim world is when we fly WorldFlight each year, 24/7 for a whole week on VatSim raising money to pay for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. I have that photo of 744s in front of me and behind me as we taxi out to 34L in Sydney at the commencement of WorldFlight. Great memories.

Ok, I'll do my absolute best to be there my time 0130 AEST Friday 30th August. At least I know there will be one other plane there at my beloved Los Angeles, something with a tongue twister callsign ending in tango lima. Be aware though, I fly (real world) out of Coolangatta on the first-out Tuesday in the A340 up to KL, and then an A320 up to Penang, and so dismantled and packed up my simpit today as there will be house sitters for the month I am away, and so will be in trainee mode tomorrow morning for flying by the AirBus joystick, even though it's a B737-400 NGX.

Hi Kim, I take you're point on my c/s.

Seriously considering changing it to "ASH2013", what do you think?

I learnt to sledge from years of listening to Aussie gloating

See you at 0830pdt

Just to clarify, you're planning to depart at 0830, or to "arrive at the sim" at that hour. I need circa 30mins to get aircraft ready to taxi :D

Peter was kind enough to take my shift, but I'm snowed under with proposals and consulting this week. Next week will be better (the proposals will be out of the way, at least).

Sorry I couldn't make it in time. As it is, 2 hours later, I am still trying to make the portable simpit useable. I have had to add back in one more disk with the saved flight plans etc on it. I'll be back up and running this month LOL.
So glad to hear you got to see another plane. Thanks Prat/Peter.
