Al Waterloo runs SimpleFlight.net, is a King Air charter pilot and a great flight instructor. He's also an avid flight simmer which is rare among current flight instructors.
He's started working with his local clients to help get them setup with home sims and is obviously a big fan of PE as well.
Here's Al giving a demo flight in his sim, it was filmed just a few hours ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q53821yMaII
I caught up with him today and mentioned that I've had many requests to setup a service whereby we provide more detailed flight instruction on PE. He's up to the challenge! So, for those interested in receiving high quality, professional mentoring from a current, real world flight instructor, drop me a PM and I'll send you Al's contact info. I'll also encourage him to respond in this thread so that people can PM him directly.

Re: looking for instruction?
Thanks Keith!
I am absolutely up to the challenge. Like Keith said, I'm more than happy to work with anybody. You have a fantastic opportunity to use your at home simulator and get as much flying as you'd like in. That way when you are ready to get your actual rating, you can put real meaningful content behind it too. If you are working IFR or VFR, it doesn't matter. Here is an example of a VFR tip I just sent a client!

One thing that made me chuckle: Keith flew out of Santa Ynez right in front of Al, also bound for KSBA, and then must have landed and climbed directly into the tower. When Al is handed off to SBA tower, Keith is the Santa Barbara tower controller.Keith Smith wrote: Here's Al giving a demo flight in his sim, it was filmed just a few hours ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q53821yMaII

Re: looking for instruction?
That's pretty much what happened. ATC was fairly swamped, so as soon as I landed, I offered to help out

Holy cow it's Al!
I'm glad to see you on PilotEdge. You probably don't recognize me from Facebook (Ryan Butterworth - ATC from Duluth).
Anyway hope people sign up with you!
