PE Tours?

Post by Tomas Mateus »

Are there any tours on PE, like the ones they have on vatsim/ivao? it would be cool to have tours on here.

on IVAO we have world tours and in division tours, for example, portugals division has this: http://ivao.pt/portal/index.php/community/ivao-pt-tours

they have some tours all over the country and theres ULM tour VFR tour IFR tour Vingate tour, it would be really cool to have that on PE within the area.

Gotcha. Yes, those are on the long term list as an add on to the existing training program.

This really isn't a tour but there are focus fields listed with times on the PE homepage. I've noticed them get some attention lately if you feel inclined to fly with other users.

Chasing drones around is good fun too. Some of them do some pretty cool stuff!

With you on this especially if a group can get together to fly the same route. It is something I miss on PE, perhaps it is difficult to achieve, for me, because of different times zones etc but is managed regularly on other multi player sessions

'badges' seem to be popular with online pilots. It will be a while before we can get to it, but I'd like to get there eventually. In the mean time, your best bet is the 'fly with me' forum. I posted a group flight for this coming Wed night. Reece has organized several flyouts in the past, along with several other people.

Feel free to create your own content and invite people to join. The lack of a badge at the end of it shouldn't make the whole thing a non-starter. If people will only show up for a badge, then they're doing it for the wrong reasons. The badge should be a nice to have have, not a must-have. A well organized-tour will bring pilots. I did a coast to coast run on VATSIM many years with 160kt airplanes, and we had 10-15 people showing up for those every week (I had _way_ more time back then!)
