flying from ksna to ksdm in my flightroute i have 2 choices
a)CSTN19
V25 PACIF V208 LAX118R CARDI MZB320R MZB
J110M90
b)CSTN31v23 mzb pq50
i was flying turbine duke, i filed for cstn19,but the one assigned was cst31, once in the air a realize that controller req vectors to v23 instead of v25. i told him in the iar i was specting v25, and he said the tec to ksdm its the cstn31 fl 5000 instead of the first one wich was better suited for a turbine duke level090,,,,,
please anyone can tell me why the first tec wasnt allowed?

The Duke is a tough aircraft to determine TEC routing. You have to be very clear that you are operating the "Turbine" Duke. If you don't, you will likely be given the Q TEC route. Looking at your flight plan, you filed BE58 as your aircraft type.

Re: tec ksna-ksdm
thats true sometimes im unable to change the specific type of aircraft i dont know if database has been updated but the duke wasnt there....neither the turbine duke

i just recheked aircraft database, and its weird or i dont know how to useit..... in beechcraft and beechacraft hawker bonanzas are not there, nor duke,,,,,so i dont knoh how to solve this, i imagine doing it in the comment section while filing the route....

Here is the complete aircraft type code database (this database was used to populate the PilotEdge internal database): http://www.icao.int/publications/DOC864 ... fault.aspx
It will tell you that a Duke is a BE60. There is no special code for a turbine duke as it's not a new type, but a third party modification. As a result the best way to let us know that you are in the turbine version is a remark in the flight plan.
Absent that remark or a comment by you we will assume you are in a regular duke which is a Q type aircraft.

be60 bonanzas dont appear on my Pe available aircarfts let me see

FSX or XP?
For FSX if you have the new pilot edge client update both Duke and Turbine Duke is there (though technically the FAA for either one is BE60, but for Turbine ICAO recognizes B60T)
Just change the little radio button (round option click) to All aircraft and it should be there.

Disregard that. Never occurred to me to look under BEECH instead of BEECHCRAFT, Ryan has it right, a turbine duke is a B60T.There is no special code for a turbine duke as it's not a new type, but a third party modification. But I think you're more correct Peter.... heck you know as a rw pilot too... people start filing ICAO stuff....hehe... If we're technically using FAA database I think it still should be BE60. But most controllers recognize the T on the end now as turboprop. I've seen a recent increase in turboprop conversions to Bonanzas and Malibus etc... Doesn't really bother me.

Honestly real world, I'd try a B60T and see what the FSS guy says when he puts that in his system and go from there.
Actually I can sort of do that, DUATS accepts B60T so I assume that's ok then. Looking at DUATS it looks like it's using the ICAO database, I don't think the FAA has a complete type database that I've ever seen (the appendix in the .65 is woefully short).
