PE Preferences

downloaded and applied the Jan 2015 update. thought it would fix the ability to select the audio output. it defaults to whatever is either windows default or one of 4 monitor speakers. i have a usb headset, and normally use that for my PE audio output. i can select it, but two problems:
1) it doesn't save my preference for the USB headset
2) i can click on the OK button all day long but it fails to close the dialog box for the preferences.

i've deleted the PE folder, restarted xplane, redownloaded PE for latest update, placed in resources plugin folder. restarted xplane 10.32 build 103203 64 bit. win7pro.

i'd appreciate some assistance in knowing what else i can do.

moved to the xplane forum. I'm not sure why it's not saving your preferences, but you can control it by setting your desired device to the "Default Communications Device" in Windows. PE will use that device, while Xplane itself will use the 'default device'. That way, you can use two difference devices without relying on the preferences. That said, I haven't had any problems using the preferences.
