blue screen crash
I have had a crash to the bluescreen twice running xplane. Just curious, if it does it again what should I look for to investigate a cause? Will the xplane log file help in that case? Thanks
Re: blue screen crash
The blue screen can be caused by a lot of things, from bad memory to flaky drivers. When it happens make note of the description (usually the second line) and the STOP error code (something like 0x0000000D1). Looking those up will often tell you why it's crashing.

Perfect, thanks.
Re: blue screen crash
Might not be X-Plane related. Until recently, I ran P3D on my Asus G750JH laptop, and have gotten 3 of these (Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal) over the past month.
I've started looking at them with the help of this article:

So far, the BlueScreenView program has pointed out these drivers:
L1C63x64.sys - Once with P3D running, and once when computer idol.
rdyboost.sys - While watching a Twitch stream.

Re: blue screen crash
Every BSOD I've had over the past 19 years of running X-Plane has been caused by overheating. X-Plane pushes the video and CPU pretty hard. I would look into that as a possible cause.
