Meet the Controllers?

Post by N119XD - Shawn »

Been flight simming since flight simming began (FS 3.0, Chuck Yeagar, Falcon 3, Falcon 4/BMS/OD, DCS WORLD, MSFS ALL versions -> converted to Xplane 10 no more FSX). Dreamed of flying since I was knee hi to a grasshopper. Bucket list item is to get Private Pilots license eventually IFR rating...so far it hasn't been in the cards so simming scratches the itch. Flight simming up until I discovered PilotEdge (saw a froogle vid which led to Helipilot vids which led to Coma vids and was convinced I had to try) was so 2 dimensional. Flying alone in an empty world with no rules doesn't quite get it (yes...flown on a squadron or two and that can be very addictive). PilotEdge (w/ X Plane) is so incredibly immersive and realistic. I am loving it. I feel like I could jump in a cessna and take off from a class C airport at least!

The Controllers are AWESOME! Is there a meet the controllers space somewhere on this site? Of course, anonymity may trump that. They are so smooth, considerate, gracious and professional (close to rock star status)...it'd be cool to get bio's. Keep up the great work!

hi Shawn, I feel the same way about many of the controllers in the New York and Boston area, however there aren't any many opportunities to get to know then personally, it's the nature of the system. the controllers do appreciate messages like this, though, just as they do in real life.

I'm opting not to publish bios at this time, though.
