News.

Post by 501Aviator »

I'm sure Keith and Peter are getting tired of hearing this question. Any update on the expansion and the new test. And with the expansion up into ZOK will we be finally able to fly into say San Carlos or Half Moon Bay or even Monterrey? Or is it just going to be SFO and OAK?

We'll be providing a new area of coverage which includes these airports on a full time basis: SEA, PDX, SLC, DEN, ASE, PHX. SFO will also be covered as part of this new area.

Additionally, we'll provide part time coverage for: OAK, SJC, RNO, MRY, SMF, GEG, YKM, EGE, ABQ. "Part time" means that we'll cover ONE of those fields at a time for a period of two weeks before closing it and moving to the next one in the list. Think of it as a temporary bonus field.

If you do not see an airport on this list, then it is not going to receive ATC service as part of this expansion
Also note Peter's comment that this list is final and static.

I'd like to see it as one area at a time instead I think. For example for one month out of the year, operate all the towered airports in the Seattle area (like say all the Puget Sound), then the next month, do KDEN and the mountains of CO. Then KABQ and the desert around it. A little more interesting than just one off long haul destinations. But I may also just be looking for an excuse for them to tower KRNT, my home field.

This was discussed already.
