New for second time

Post by manlyman »

Well, my first go around with pilotedge was less then I was hoping for. Technical problems. Probably a year has passed now. Wanting to be a better sim pilot by learning to fly with ATC. Started with Vatsim which was and is fine, although I sometimes struggle with the audio, hearing them clearly. I have a little hearing issue, 4yrs on the flight deck launching fighter aircraft off the USS Coral Sea. So I thought I would give PE a try again. They where so kind to let me do a free trial again, awesome of them to do that. Well, I have flown 5 times in the last few days and what an awesome place to fly! My skills are such that I get brain lock but it is getting better quickly. The controller I had the first night was awesome, had a problem understanding how to idnt.. Have got that fixed to a button on my kit now, tested it tonight. Really am digging this place. Even had a female controller tonight that was a pleasure to listen too. This is a really cool place. Look forward to learning and flying on PE.

Thank you for the help and awesome place to fly!

Welcome! May I suggest the pilot rating program and the free workshops.... Both can be found by hovering your mouse over the Pilot Center tab on the main page.

Welcome and congratulations David. I really thank you for your service to our country. That is awesome.
I also want to encourage you to get into the ratings and training program for PilotEdge. It adds a lot to the fun-factor. It is very rewarding and builds a lot of confidence. No one is as nervous to talk to ATC as I am (it's just pitiful), yet I was just able to pass my I-01 Rating and I'm telling you, if I can do it, anyone can. I struggle as a realistic sim-pilot using PilotEdge ATC and I would never be a real pilot because I would engrave the landscape with my face print. But I really enjoy flying on PilotEdge. So much so that I find myself looking forward to it every day.
There is a lot of very good videos on YouTube that explain how to go about almost all of the tests and give a lot of aviation knowledge.
I look forward to reading about your adventures and experiences on PilotEdge.

Bob
