thanks for all of the advice and clarity. I've just started dipping my toes into IFR as a way to prepare myself for training and sometimes I feel like I'm in the deep end of the pool!

I have a 27" Acer touch screen as my lower monitor and running the virtual cockpit I can use the touch screen to manipulate the controls. However changing frequencies can be a chore and I usually opt to use the mouse for that. Also turn of screen shake... It makes it really hard.
